The Mousehole Watermelon Run 2026 Question

The Mousehole Watermelon Run was held on Saturday, July 25. Even though it was HOTTER THAN HELL four Model ‘A’s and three modern cars attended. We met at the QT gas station at N.E. Loop 820 and Blue Mound Road. The tour drove north on Hwy 156 into Haslet, Justin and Ponder and then drove through Mousehole bridge. The bridge is an old rock brick bridge under the railroad tracks. The tour then proceeded through back roads and met at the Haslet Community Park for iced cold Watermelons.
Activities included who could guess the weight of a watermelon, water balloon toss, and who could hit Clint Johnson with the most balloons! Trust me, the water felt great due to the heat.
Vicki Stamp won the watermelon weight guess and only missed the actual weight by two pounds, so she won the watermelon! Randy Williams won the balloon Mousehole toss by getting two out of 3 chances for the most that made it through the opening. He won a box of Cheez-Its and he also won a beach towel for hitting Clint with the most water balloons! Thanks to those who attended and helped with the event.
