Editor’s Comments February 2025
Already January has flown by and I have tasks that are not done that should have been. Even the birthday flew by on the 18th and we had a nice family dinner but I quit counting the years. Unfortunately, we had to put down our 16.5-year-old kitty named Augie, and that was very hard as he was like the third child in the family.
It’s part of life but extremely difficult. After 4.5-inch rain this week, the sky is blue and temps almost in the 70’s so it means we can get the Model A’s out and enjoy these cool nights and tempered days. Before we know it, April will be here and the Pate Swap Meet will be upon us. There is much work to be done by chapter volunteers in the three weeks prior to and during the meet. Jerry Tucker will be explaining the needs at the February and March meetings.
We have a Valentine’s dinner on February 9 and look for the notice elsewhere in this newsletter or check you chapter email as you need to let Tina Johnson know if you are coming so she can inform the restaurant of the number of folks to expect.
See the new annual calendar elsewhere in the newsletter that lists activities planned by the chapter, state, and national events. Thanks to Clint and Tina Johnson, Tour and Activities Directors, for putting this together. It will be updated monthly in the newsletter.
Hope to see you at the meeting on February 16 and the early dinner afterward at the Mexican Inn on Camp Bowie Blvd./
