TOURS
If you have ever seen any history on Henry Ford then you probably know that he liked to go “roughing it” in the great outdoors. Well the Cowtown “A”s version of “roughing it” would be to take a tour around some of the most beautiful countryside in North Central Texas. The club has tours throughout the year, weather permitting. So come join the club and enjoy the countryside with us on one or more of our tours. Some of our tours cover Texas countryside during different seasons. You may never realize just how varying the Texas countryside is until you have taken a leisurely ride in a Ford Model A through the country.
Goat Neck Tour – November 6, 2021
We will be gathering at the Whataburger parking lot at Wichita and south loop 820, close to the Wilkerson Greines Athletic Center/Herman Clark Field. At 9:00AM we will depart and proceed through the country avoiding main roads as much as possible. We will drive through Cleburne and onto Rio Vista where we will start the actual tour of the Goat Neck
community which is a beautiful drive.
Next stop will be Brazos Point to see the old swinging bridge over the Brazos River. From there we will go to Glen Rose and Oakdale Park. Waiting for us will be lunch including tacos with all the trimmings under the pavilion. After lunch we will head back through the country with a short journey on Highway 67 back to where we started.

58th Texas Tour a Success!
Tex Willis, Chair of the 58 Annual Texas Tour held on June 10-13 in Longview, Tx reports it was a great success and it seems a good time was had by all who attended. Tex said there were 100 registrations and 228 participants. The good weather, day tours to Jefferson and Kilgore, plus the casual gatherings and Saturday night BBQ banquet made for a fun time.
Thanks to Tex, Scarecrow and Nate Rominger for planning and managing a great tour.
