SPECIAL EVENTS
The club also participates in special events throughout the year. The events vary greatly like bridge dedications, Weddings, Fund raising events, Etc…
White Settlement Bridge Dedication
May 22, 2021, Eleven cars represented the club. Following the remarks by several dignitaries, including Mayor Price, and after the ribbon cutting, the Model ‘A’s led the procession across the new bridge (Pictured right) followed by a group of bicyclists and walkers. Following the trip across the bridge the cars returned and were parked in the Angelo’s BBQ parking lot where the Model ‘A’ folks were treated to lunch by Steve at Angelo’s.
Main Street Bridge Dedication
The Fort Worth Model ‘A’ Club was again invited to participate in the dedication and ribbon cutting of the second bridge in a series of three new bridges for the Trinity River Project. This time we were asked to participate in the dedication of the new Main Street Bridge north of the Main Street viaduct over the Trinity River. Members gathered on Saturday morning, July 17 at the south end of the new bridge. After music and dancing by a group of talented young people there were remarks by dignitaries and the ribbon cutting. The Model ‘A’s then drove north across the new bridge followed by bicyclists and runners. After a U turn at the north end we drove back to the south end and ended the ceremonies. It was a fun way to start a Saturday and members had a good time.
The dedication of the Henderson Street Bridge has just passed, last bridge completed. And again the Fort Worth Model A Club was invited to attend and the information will be posted on this page once pictures are ready.
